All our paper products are made from handmade paper which is produced from the bark of the Loktashrub which grows wild in remote areas of the Himalayan mountains. The bark is harvested sustainably by people living in the highest mountain villages, then brought down to other villages for processing. The bark is cleaned, cut into small pieces with a sharp knife and then soaked in water. When softened it is hammered into pulp which is then poured into a wooden frame to form a sheet of paper before being turned out to dry in the sun.
